The form below is the only way to reach us, and we read everything that arrives. Whether you have found an error in a prayer time, want your city added, or have a question about how our calculations work, this page tells you what to include so we can act on it quickly.

We use what you send only to answer your message. We do not add you to any mailing list.

Reporting an incorrect prayer time

This is the message we most want to receive, and the one where the detail you provide makes the biggest difference. Choose “An incorrect prayer time” as the topic and include:

  • The city. The form has a field for it, so it will not get lost in the message.
  • The date the problem applies to. Prayer times change daily, so a report without a date is difficult to verify. There is a date field for this.
  • Which prayer is wrong, and the time we showed you.
  • The time you expected, and where it comes from. A local mosque timetable, a national authority’s published calendar, or a printed almanac are all useful.
  • How large the difference is. A gap of one or two minutes is usually explained by rounding or by your position within a large city. A gap of twenty minutes or more usually means a wrong calculation method or wrong coordinates, which is a real bug we need to fix.

Before writing, it is worth reading how we calculate prayer times. Several of the most common reports turn out to be the expected difference between the start of a prayer window and the iqamah time announced at a mosque, or the normal difference between the Hanafi and Shafi’i positions on Asr. That page explains both.

Requesting a new city

We add cities continuously and user requests are the main thing that decides the order. To request one, choose “Request a new city” and tell us:

  • The city name, in English and in the local language if it differs.
  • The country.
  • If you know it, the calculation authority that local mosques follow. This is the single most useful thing you can tell us, because applying the wrong convention is worse than not covering the city at all.

Corrections to city information

Each city page carries descriptive information alongside the times: the calculation authority in force, the dominant school of jurisprudence affecting Asr, seasonal ranges, and local context. If any of that is wrong or out of date for your city, tell us. Local knowledge is something we cannot generate ourselves, and corrections from people who live in the city are the most valuable messages we get.

Privacy and data questions

For any request concerning your personal data, including access, deletion, or objections to processing under the GDPR, the UK GDPR or the CCPA, choose “Privacy or data request” as the topic. Our privacy policy sets out what we do and do not collect. In short: we do not require an account, we do not ask for your identity to show you a prayer time, and we do not sell personal information.

Where to look before writing

Some questions already have detailed answers on the site, and checking first will usually get you a result faster than waiting for a reply:

  • Why our time differs from my mosque. The most common question we receive. The causes, including the difference between the start of a prayer window and the announced iqamah, are set out on how we calculate prayer times.
  • Which authority applies in my country. The full table of countries and the calculation convention applied to each is on the same page, along with the solar depression angles behind them.
  • Why Asr looks late or early. This is nearly always the Hanafi and Shafi’i difference rather than an error, and it is explained in the same place.
  • What data you hold about me. Our privacy policy covers this. The short answer is that no account is required and browser location data never reaches our servers.
  • How you handle error reports. The verification and correction process is described in our editorial and corrections policy.

What we cannot help with

We are a reference site, not a religious authority. We cannot issue rulings, adjudicate between schools of jurisprudence, or advise on how you should pray. Questions of that kind belong with a qualified scholar or your local imam, who can also account for circumstances we know nothing about.

We also cannot confirm moon sighting or announce the start of Ramadan, Eid or any other date determined by observation. Those announcements come from the relevant national or local authority, and we do not publish predictions in their place.

Response times

We are a small operation. Reports of incorrect times are handled first, usually within a day. City requests and general questions are typically answered within three working days. During Ramadan volumes rise sharply and replies may take longer, though error reports continue to be prioritised throughout.

We do not publish an email address. Every message comes through the form above, which keeps reports structured and means nothing is lost to a spam filter.
